Where to find obsidian ore

Here;s the best route to take. Comment by Droto Can be mined at and prospected at Jewel Crafting. Comment by spuik I looked on Wowhead for where to farm Obsidium ore, and saw that there are more Obsidium deposits in Deepholm than any other zone.

In addition, Rich Obsidium deposits are apparently only found in Deepholm. So naturally I went there to farm some, but I didn't find any. A bit of Cinderbloom, lots of Hertblossom and some Elementium but not one node of Obsidium.

The bottom line, as determined by my experience, is that Hyjal is the place to be. Something about Deepholm, even though it lists FAR more deposits of obsidium than hyjal, just isn't working.

In hyjal, I two shot the lvl 81's on my balance druid in pvp gear. I'm getting well over ore per hour in hyjal. I take a large sweeping route spiraling inward from the very outer edges. I never go yds without seeing a deposit.

Hyjal is best, imo. I didn't like shimmering expanse. Swimming is irritating. Best of luck. Comment by they drop rich obsidium ore and elementium ore in deepholm they are all over the place took me bout hour to have 5 stacks each.

Comment by I just wanted to help by saying that the Shimmering Expanse is amazing for farming. You do a loop and by the time you start that loop again the Ore has respawned. There is none on the outside of Nespirah so don't go around his back.

Comment by opalexian Confirming that the day after 5. Running this route, including little nooks to the side don't forget the end of Trench where the Earthen Ring goblins are fighting crabs! Stay north of Nespirah I found that south of her was a total bust except for the accidental acquisition of Burgy Blackheart's Handsome Hat : and pretty much just run back and forth on that west to east route and back.
