Love the show with all the bad news today in the world we need a show like this. I wish you would bring back Pit Boss one of the most intelligent shows that I've seen on this channel another fact is he always tried to help Parolees and the Animals I don't understand why the show was cancelled in my opinion it should be brought back on the air because they were doing one hell of a job supporting animals and Parolees this is something that needs to be done thank you.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved Pitboss. The channel is probably a bunch of assholes who hate pitbulls. They are the smartest breed of dogs that I have ever seen. We have a red-nosed pit named Delhia Delilah, and she is 10 years old.

We have had her since she was two months old. God,how we love her. Latest Newscasts. Animal Planet's Pit Boss makes pit stop in Frankenmuth. By Andy Chambo. Published: Oct. Share on Facebook.

There is not a size difference between males and females of this breed. Regardless, the weight between dogs can vary dramatically in this breed. One dog might weigh only 20 pounds, or even one that weighs 60 pounds.

To know where your dog will be, look at his paws to see how much growing he has to do. If you know how big his parents were that is a good clue as well, though you could also have a DNA test done. Traditionally, when it came to spaying or neutering your dog, you would do it around the age of 6 months at the earliest.

This was because 6 months is the time when it is safer to do anaesthesia. While spaying or neutering early will not affect the final size of your dog, it has been shown to be dangerous to the joint health of large breed dogs.

Since a Mini Australian Shepherd, this does not apply to them. Talk to your vet about the best time to have your dog spayed or neutered. Just looking at their name, you should know already that the Mini Australian Shepherd is not a tall dog. When you look at the growth chart for a Mini Australian Shepherd, you will see that the average height for a male is between 14 and 18 inches, while a female is between 13 and 17 inches.

To measure a Mini Australian Shepherd, you will want to measure the dog while he is standing on all four legs. Then, you measure from the highest spot on his back to the ground. There is still a lot of variety in this breed, so your dog might be smaller or taller than the average dog. As we mentioned above, the Mini Australian Shepherd can be between 13 and 18 inches in height and weigh anywhere from 20 to 60 pounds.

Meanwhile, the Australian Shepherd can weigh anywhere from 30 to 65 pounds and stand between 18 and 23 inches in height. You will note that there is not a huge size difference between the two breeds, but it is still a difference nonetheless.

Some Mini Australian Shepherds are so large that they look identical to the standard Australian Shepherds. One of the biggest factors that affect the size of your Mini Australian Shepherd is genetics and gender. Since the breed has a lot of variety, genetics are a huge factor in determining how big of a Mini Australian Shepherd you will have. Also, in general, female dogs are smaller than males, though there is not a huge difference in size with Mini Australian Shepherds. If your dog is being overfed, it will also affect his joints by putting too much pressure on the developing joint plates, potentially resulting in your dog having arthritis when he is older.

When a Mini Australian Shepherd becomes overweight due to a lack of physical activity, he is going to have a hard time losing the weight, potentially putting pressure on those developing growth plates. Dogs that do continue growing usually only gain another pound or two after they reach nine months. Therefore, you can pretty much assume your dog has reached somewhere close to their adult size at nine months. While they may be done growing, these dogs will still be developing mentally.

They may continue to act like a puppy for some time after they reach their full weight, though some may be ending their puppy stage at this point. Many Mini Aussies only calm down once they are years old. Usually, you can expect these dogs to grow at a decently fast rate.

They will almost be their full size at as young as six months. However, because they are smaller dogs in general, they do not grow nearly as fast as the larger dogs out there.

Typically, they stop looking and acting like puppies at around six months. However, some may continue their mental and physical growth far beyond this. Certain dogs may grow faster than others, as their genetic pool is quite large.

Part of this breed is its general unpredictability since it is not well-established. What method the breeder uses will determine the speed that the dog grows at. For instance, some people refer to the Miniature American Shepherd as a mini Aussie, while other breeds may interbreed Australian Shepherds with smaller dogs to make a miniature version.

It can be seen in the Miniature American Shepherd.

A Miniature American Shepherd may grow to be 13 to 18 inches tall at the shoulder. They weigh somewhere between 20 and 40 pounds. Males are generally larger than females. So this breed is not super tiny, about 20—35 pounds smaller than a regular Australian Shepherd. The size of more modern mini Australian Shepherds is highly variable, depending on how they were created. Like their full-sized counterparts, the mini Australian Shepherd temperament is likely to be defined by a strong work ethic and a love of herding livestock.

In general the mini Australian Shepherd is likely to be easily trained, loyal to its owners, and aims to please. Even though they are smaller than the standard breed, a teacup Australian Shepherd can harm someone if they are aggressive. Socialization will reduce this risk. On top of this, the breed is very active and does not do well if not allowed to burn off energy outdoors. Mini Aussies are appealing to people who love the full size Australian Shepherd, but have less room at home for a dog.

Smaller dogs also cost less to feed, and appeal to our instinct to look after things which are small and cute. A standard Australian Shepherd is a very active dog.

The smaller version will also need plenty of exercise, but not quite as much as the standard breed. So generally, miniaturized dogs have cheaper general care and lower needs in terms of space and exercise. One drawback of miniaturization of a breed is that it increases the potential occurrence of some other health problems. In extreme cases, this leads to more dogs being given up for adoption and losing their homes when families can no longer afford them.

Miniature American Shepherds and other mini Aussies alike are not only susceptible to common canine health problems. They are also prone to inherited health problems specific to the Australian Shepherd breed as a whole.

We cover these in more detail in our main article on Australian Shepherds. But in a nutshell, mini Aussies are prone to:. In mini Australian Shepherds, the following conditions may be observed as a result of miniaturization or dwarfing:. Some miniaturized or dwarfed dog breeds are predisposed to early degeneration of the discs that make up the spine and absorb shock.

As the dog ages, the discs begin to fail. As a result, their neck and spine become less able to absorb shock from daily activity. Inbreeding is still a common practice in some areas to achieve miniature specimens of a larger breed.

Everyone in the house needs to know exactly how to look after the dog. With their long and shaggy double-coats, mini Australian Shepherd shedding is nothing to sneeze at.

Aussies come with a lot of hair. Weekly brushing during non-peak shedding will keep their coat from tangling or matting. As primarily working dogs, they need that weatherproof coat to keep them comfortable in all sorts of conditions. If you will be buying a mini Aussie puppy from a breeder, make sure that their puppies meet registration guidelines.

Additionally, only look at puppies that are housed in a clean environment. Make sure they are not sick, and are well-cared for. Breeders who house their stock in poor conditions should be avoided. Be wary of breeders who refuse to show you all of their stock. They may be hiding something.

Bear in mind that mini dogs of all types are very popular at the moment, and this trend is being exploited by poor quality breeders and puppy mills. Use our top tips for recognising puppy farms to avoid supporting this cruel industry.

Rescuing a teacup Australian Shepherd can be a great option. Especially as a lot of these small dogs are given up if their health needs become too expensive. You might struggle to find a rescue center that is specifically dedicated to the miniature Australian Shepherd. It is more commonly known as the Mini American Shepherd. These highly adaptable dogs can do just about anything that the Australian Shepherd can, but their small size makes them easier to fit into many different lifestyles.

This hardworking and loving companion is great for those who are not quite ready to let a larger dog into their home.

They provide years of unconditional loyalty to any family willing to keep up with their high energy levels. Is your family ready to take in one of these lovable farm dogs? Read our guide below on care, feeding, and much more…. Despite their name they do not come from Australia — they actually come from the United States.

This pooch began as a line of Australian Shepherds bred for their smaller size , but eventually, they became their own distinct breed they are not toy-sized dogs though. Miniature Australian Shepherds are classified as herding dogs just like their taller counterparts.

These dogs were bred to tend livestock and help with work around the farm. Mini ones specifically have a history as rodeo dogs. Mini Aussies have a very big brain behind that adorable little face. These natural learners can be trained to perform all sorts of tasks, and they are up for learning any game that keeps their minds engaged. Their helpful personality comes from their history as herders.

Working is like a game to them, and they want to help their owners out as much as they possibly can. Mini Aussies have a long, wavy double coat that comes in a variety of colors. They can be tri-colored, bi-colored, or just one color with white accents. They have broad chests and shoulders set upon muscular bodies, and their heads should be proportional to the size of their body. Their attentive eyes can be brown, blue, or even heterochromia. Their base color is dark, with lighter colored patches or spots.

Their chests and undersides are always bright white. These dogs typically stand between 14 and 18 inches high. Females are only an inch or two shorter than males. Both genders have a weight range of pounds, with females weighing slightly less than males. According to the official breed standard , a Miniature Australian full grown should be over 12 but under 20 inches in height.

They should not be small enough to be mistaken for a toy breed. Merles are identified by a mottled appearance across a black or red coat, causing the base to appear lighter. In a merle pattern a black base color is faded to bluish grey, they are known as a blue merle Miniature Australian. The outer coat can be straight or appear in gorgeous waves. These eager little workaholics are only truly happy when they have something to do.

As their owner, it will be your main responsibility to keep them busy. A bored Mini Aussie will be pushy and irritable. They may protest by destroying your furniture or making a mess of your house. When kept happy and stimulated you will have an affectionate and loyal friend with a strong desire to keep your family safe.

They are full of boundless energy and need to let it all out in daily work and play.

Was this reply helpful? I think the main reason was because there are so many different dialogue outcomes based on what can you say and how NPCs respond to that. And the MotionScan software takes up a lot of data hence why it can't all fit on one disc. Rockstar claims that the game was originally going to ship on 6 discs until they started cutting content! Yeah, it's the motion scan. My concern is that if it took that much space It's not needed.

It would certainly help but it isn't a need. People can change discs. It isn't a problem. As long as the game is there is all that matters. I hate the controller. My PS3 is my exclusives machine only So disc swapping it is! I can live with 2 swaps, it's still less than I had to do for Mass Effect 2 which wasn't a big deal either. It's a terrible time when people get all fired up over such a simple thing as switching discs. It's fine to want a change, but to get all riled up over something so silly is ridiculous.

Get the PS3 version if you do not want to swap, but if your sane and are okay with taking a break to switch the discs, then go ahead and get the Not sure why people have to fight over that. Oh good, more arguing about nonsense. What is it about this game that inspires so many fights? The game uses a distinctive coloring style, as well as including the choice of a grayscale filter, in homage to traditional film noir. The post-war setting is the backdrop for plot elements that reference history and detective films of the time, such as corruption and veteran trauma, accompanied by a classical jazz soundtrack.

The gameplay of L. Noire is similar to that of other crime-based adventure and third-person action games. However, the roles are reversed. By finishing cases , Phelps rises through the ranks of the LAPD , from a regular patrol officer all the way to a widely respected Vice detective. Supplementary modes of play include driving, shooting and hand-to-hand combat, but the bulk of the game is comprised of investigation , which can require combing through crime scenes , following leads, solving puzzles or tailing suspects, and the signature interrogation mechanic, for which the game's proprietary MotionScan facial animation technology was developed, which allows the player to read each character's exact expressions when attempting to deduce the veracity of their statements.

The main story campaign is largely linear and mission-based, but the open world every chapter takes place in can be freely explored at almost any time, with various collectibles and side missions scattered throughout; for these, the game additionally includes a free-roam mode, The Streets of L. In , working with his partner Ralph Dunn Rodney Scott , Phelps successfully and almost singlehandedly solves a murder case, impressing the captain of the Homicide department, James Donnelly Andrew Connelly , who helps promote him to detective.

Around this time, he begins falling for German lounge singer Elsa Lichtmann Erika Heynatz , and eventually has an extramarital affair with her. Unknown to him, Roy Earle Adam J. Harrington , his partner in Vice and a corrupt cop, uses this information to help several prominent figures in the city cover up a major scandal by making him a distraction for the media, in exchange for a place in a syndicate known as the " Suburban Redevelopment Fund " SRF —an illegitimate development program that claims to supply housing for homecoming WWII veterans.

When his adultery is exposed, Phelps becomes disgraced within the LAPD, hated by Los Angeles at large, is demoted to work in Arson , and his wife kicks him out, leaving him to go live with Elsa. Just prior to this, Phelps discovered that several Marines of his former unit had been selling morphine syrettes stolen from the ship that had taken them home, the S. Coolridge , which later led to most of them being assassinated by mobsters working for Mickey Cohen Patrick Fischler , who held major control of the drug trade and resented the competition; most of the stolen drugs remained unaccounted for by the time he was demoted, after which he was unable to pursue the case any further.

While investigating a pair of suspicious house fires with his partner in Arson, Herschel Biggs Keith Szarabajka , Phelps notes a connection between them and the housing company Elysian Fields , but is explicitly warned by Earle not to investigate it's founder and CEO, tycoon land developer Leland Monroe John Noble.

Cole doesn't go ask himself, not just due to the legally dubious nature of a police detective outsourcing an unauthorized investigation to an outside party, but also because of their complicated and unsavory personal history from serving together in the war. Kelso quickly discovers that the development is using unsuitable building materials for the houses, which could potentially indicate an intent to quickly destroy them later.

After escaping pursuit from a bevy of Monroe's goons attempting to keep him from the truth, he is given an offer by Assistant District Attorney Leonard Petersen Larry Sullivan to become a D. Investigator, to which he accepts. Kelso and Phelps eventually learn from their investigations that the Fund is merely a front for an entirely different objective: to defraud the US Federal Government. Run by several local businessmen, dignitaries, as well as Monroe and Chief of Police William Worrell Ryan Cutrona , the syndicate had learned the proposed route for the Whitnall Parkway that was to go through the Wilshire district of the city, and thus bought the land it would run through.

Further investigations reveal that Courtney Sheldon Chad Todhunter , another corpsman of Phelps and Kelso's former unit, had been involved in the theft of the morphine Phelps was investigating while in Vice. The unsold remainder of the morphine had been given to Sheldon's mentor and pop psychiatrist Harlan Fontaine Peter Blomquist , who sold it on to finance the Fund, and eventually murdered Sheldon with it after he began questioning the syndicate's plans.

After learning all he could from investigating outside sources, and not eager to be jumped again, Kelso takes the initiative by rounding up the last few surviving veterans from his unit and mounting a direct attack on Monroe's mansion. Marvin Campbell , a former flamethrower operator who had also served alongside Phelps, Kelso and Courtney in Okinawa, to help them with their plans.

Hogeboom, suffering from PTSD and schizophrenia after inadvertently killing a vast number of civilians on Phelps' orders, had been manipulated by Fontaine into torching the houses of holdouts who refused to sell their property to the SRF, and eventually went insane after being tricked into incinerating a house that had an entire family inside. It is also during late-game war flashbacks that Phelps' Silver Star is revealed to be illegitimate, since his status as the sole survivor of the Sugar Loaf battle was purely based on luck rather than gallantry in combat; out of terror, he had gone into shock while lying in a foxhole as the rest of the troops were slaughtered around him.

Elsa went to see Dr. Fontaine and, after letting how much she knew about the conspiracy slip, he knocked her unconscious, intending to kill her as he had Courtney.

The right ones will keep you on track, injury free and looking fresh. But the wrong shoes can cause problems beyond cramping Running shoes are tough. Running shoes take a beating under our feet, bake on the asphalt and get caked in mud not to mention sweat. Join our Newsletter Get deals, events, and more. Connect with Fleet Feet Get involved on social media. You're Not into Running, but You Walk Everywhere Walking shoe replacement is going to follow similar protocol to running shoe replacement: Mileage is key.

But because walking is significantly lower impact than running, Vasyli says your shoes can last more like miles. But pay attention to the shelf life factor here, too, he warns. You're More of a Dance Cardio Kind of Girl Vasyli describes these classes as "medium impact," which he says is pretty similar to the impact of walking.

But since you can't calculate mileage for your grapevines, you're going to need to go by feel here, says Vasyli. However, some footwear brands have recently come out with new shoe technologies to help mitigate or delay this breakdown process.

This material consists of thermoplastic polyurethane pellets fused together to create the Boost midsole. Other brands such as Brooks, New Balance, Nike and Saucony have all come out with their own proprietary take on the best midsole cushioning materials.

Each has its unique pros and cons for the discerning consumer. These can be of notable importance depending upon where you live, how you live, how you run and how you store your shoes. In colder temperatures, where there is less moisture in the air, your shoe actually firms up under-foot, creating a slightly stiffer shoe sole and ride on the run. On the contrary, temperatures above the norm anywhere above 80 degrees may cause the cushioning elements of your shoe to soften up, again affecting both the ride and the feel underfoot.

Residents of the Northeast face this challenge because outdoor temps can swing by more than degrees within the same calendar year! Can an unworn shoe, just sitting on a shelf or in a closet, expire like milk? In short, yes.

It just takes a little longer. FYI: this should concern those in the habit of buying older models of their favorite shoes online. But unworn shoes are not expiring for the reasons we thought. Their answers were consistent. But rotating multiple pairs of quality shoes distributes the stress you put them through, so they all last longer. Dry them out.

You shoes will eventually get wet, whether it's an unexpected downpour or you sweat until they're soaked. Stuff some old newspaper in them to dry them quickly, or let them air out for a couple days before running again. Clean them up. Like running in the rain , your shoes will also probably encounter mud or dirt on your runs.

Run on the proper surface. Road running shoes were made to run on pavement, and trail running shoes were meant for the trail. Here are some signs that your running shoes are ready for a slower life of mowing the lawn: Your shoes will feel flat. The bouncy midsole foam in a pair of new shoes will absorb impact associated with running, saving your feet and joints from taking a pounding.

As your shoes age, though, the foam loses some of its ability to rebound, like if you put a brick on top of a marshmallow. Nagging aches and pains.

Medical disability benefits arise when the injury sustained in the course of employment results in disability. There are four primary types, temporary total disability, temporary partial disability, permanent total disability, and permanent partial disability.

Permanent partial disability benefits are due when the injury sustained causes a mild disability. Some injuries might be so severe that the worker will be unable to return to work.

Rehabilitation benefits assist an injured worker with all forms of rehabilitation, including vocational. In cases with a limited disability, the rehabilitation benefits can help the injured party return to work, usually in an occupation with different requirements based on their limitations.

In severe cases, a work-related injury may lead to death. Instead, the weekly, biweekly, or monthly payment typically includes medical bills, therapy expenses, and lost wages. For example, employees working in dangerous occupations like the construction and manufacturing industries typically earn more in workers comp than other injured workers. Typically, the injured worker receives two-thirds of their weekly pay based on their average weekly wage. Most states require employers to purchase workers comp insurance whenever hiring employees.

Generally, private insurance companies and states pay through their insurance companies. Mopeds do have to be registered with the state, but they do not have to be titled and do not require insurance. South Carolina has a statewide speed limit for mopeds of 25 mph, and mopeds cannot be driven on public roads with posted speeds limits of 55 mph or above, which means most highways. Before applying for a motorcycle license, you will first need to apply for a permit, which allows you to ride unaccompanied during the day, or accompanied by someone with a full motorcycle license at night.

Motorcycles must be registered and titled with the state. You are also required to get a motorcycle insurance policy. Additionally, because mopeds are much slower than other vehicles, they have a harder time accelerating out of the path of other vehicles.

This means that motorcyclists and scooter riders are at a higher risk of being involved in an accident anytime they ride on public roads, but none of that excuses drivers from failing to pay attention and causing accidents when they collide with motorcyclists and scooter riders.

If it meets the requirements to bypass a motorcycle license, then you can go ahead. This also does not remove the requirement of a standard driving license. You need a license to ride your moped, but not a motorcycle license. Failure to adhere to this rule may lead to fines and imprisonment.

Traffic laws are the same for all vehicles whether they are cars, motorcycles, mopeds, or scooters. However, some regions have extra laws for mopeds, so it is important to know them to avoid fines. All states prohibit mopeds from riding between lanes in traffic. Some states do not allow mopeds to ride side by side. Also, mopeds have smaller engine sizes, so they are slower.

This means you cannot ride them on highways. It is advisable to stick to roads that have low-speed limits. Also, most states require mopeds to have tail lights, headlights, bell or horn, and turn signals. Helmet regulations may also vary in different states as well. There are approved designs of helmets in 20 states for passengers and riders on a moped. However, some states only require helmets for young riders. States like Delaware require riders to always have helmets in their possession.

However, only riders under the age of 19 must wear them. In states like Rhode Island, passengers, and not riders, are required to put on helmets. Other states like Iowa, Colorado, and Illinois do not have helmet laws for mopeds. In some other states, riders are required to put on goggles if the moped does not have a windshield.

Progressive Retinal Atrophy PRA is an inherited disease in which the eyes are genetically programmed to go blind.

Unfortunately, Basenjis are a bit more likely than other dogs to have this condition. PRA is not painful, but also not curable. In dogs with the bad gene, early symptoms such as night blindness or dilated pupils generally begin around three to five years of age.

A genetic test is available for this condition. The cornea is the clear outer layer at the front of the eye. Corneal dystrophy is an inherited condition in Basenjis that causes small white crystal deposits to form in one of the layers of the cornea. There is no known effective medical treatment to remove the deposits. In severe cases surgery may be considered, but unfortunately, the crystals may return. Sometimes small strands of tissue that were meant to disappear soon after birth remain attached to the iris.

Cataracts are a common cause of blindness in older Basenjis. Many dogs adjust well to losing their vision and get along just fine. Surgery to remove cataracts and restore sight may also be an option. A relatively rare blood disorder called Pelger-Huet Anomaly can occur in your Basenji. If he is a carrier of the disease, his infection fighting white blood cells will look abnormal microscopically, but operate normally.

Puppies that inherit a copy of this abnormal gene from both parents, however, usually die before or shortly after birth. This is a genetic disease that causes the red blood cells to be abnormal. Affected Basenjis will be anemic, with pale gums, exercise intolerance, and liver and spleen enlargement. Sadly, there is no cure and most dogs with this disease die by four years of age. There is a DNA test available to identify the disease in young puppies or for those pet parents interested in breeding.

Each time a female goes through her heat cycle, her hormones cause a growth of nourishing cells to line the walls of the uterus.

This becomes a lush environment for the development of a raging bacterial infection that can progress rapidly into a critical emergency that may require surgery. Pyometra can happen to any female dog, but it seems to be more common in Basenjis. Much of what you can do to keep your dog happy and healthy is common sense, just like it is for people. Be sure to adhere to the schedule of examinations and vaccinations that we recommend for her. Another very important step in caring for your pet is signing up for pet health insurance.

There will certainly be medical tests and procedures she will need throughout her life and pet health insurance will help you cover those costs. Build her routine care into your schedule to help your African Barkless Dog live longer, stay healthier, and be happier during her lifetime.

We cannot overemphasize the importance of a proper diet and exercise routine. Any abnormal symptom could be a sign of serious disease, or it could just be a minor or temporary problem. The important thing is to be able to tell when to seek veterinary help, and how urgently. Many diseases cause dogs to have a characteristic combination of symptoms, which together can be a clear signal that your Basenji needs help. DNA testing is a rapidly advancing field with new tests constantly emerging to help in the diagnosis of inherited diseases before they can become a problem for your friend.

You may have also noticed these characteristics: Needs a lot of activity and mental stimulation to avoid boredom vices Strong prey drive—will chase and grab things that run, including cats and children Not easily trained Can be independent and strong-willed Suspicious of strangers Easily bored and may find trouble Is it all worth it? Maybe "technically" the grow plates may not close until 12 months in intact animals, but with total knowledge, my Maggii's growth plate was closed at 5 months….

Thank you - both for the technical info and personal experience. Both are useful. He was not the runt of the litter, and his parents were both taller, so we shall see.

In Basenjis, we rarely have "runts" in a litter, in my experience. That is because usually are litters are not that bit… runts that I have seen come from dogs that usually whelp a number of puppies, not like a Basenji that usually has 4 to 6. Actually Pat the technicallis was 14 months, not And while Maggii might have stopped growing at 5 months, that does not mean her growth plates were closed at 5 months, certainly not all of them.

Congrats Quizbasenii on your recent show successes - seems he is maturing as well as he should. I would not be unduly worried at this stage of the game. I didn't say that she stopped growing, I said her growth plates closed, I have the xrays to prove it. So just saying that while maybe "not till 14 months" per your comments they can and do close as early as 5 months. Runts have little to do with litter size.

They may not be a common issue with basenjis, but runts have to do typically with both genetic problems and failure to thrive in the uterus.

Although I did a search for basenji runts and find a lot of people saying they got the runt… sadly people call the smallest a runt when really it should be reserved for a puppy significantly smaller, not just the smallest one. Runts occur sometimes due to position in uterus, problems with placenta implant, etc causing failure to thrive in the uterus.

Many of these puppies will simply be smaller but often catch up. But it can also be genetic issues and those puppies do not catch up, some are fading pups that die in first several days, etc. Hence, they are often used by major large dog food manufacturers to make up the weight of dog food whilst keeping the prices of the dog food low. This is the main reason why pets all over the United States are getting obese.

And, ironically, this became the driving forces behind the rise of these healthy pet food startups , as their founders seek to provide their own proper and much healthier alternatives.

One other way to get your dog feeling full and not run the risk of overeating it is to get them high fiber dog foods. The high fiber content will make your dogs feel content faster and thus eat less. And since fiber does not get stored in the body like carbs do, it can be promising measure to keep your pooch's weight under control. Mathematically, eating less will reduce weight gain.

However, it can easily lead to malnourishment if your dog is not given the proper nutrition. We are talking about nutrients beyond the common proteins and carbohydrates. They include omega fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, amino acids and many more! That requires a deep understanding and a wide study in the field of pet nutrition to truly determine it; so much that it warrants a university degree.

To get the most balanced, holistic and healthiest dog foods , it is often better to leave it to the experts. Scheduling your dog's meal time will tune their stomach to become hungry only at their meal times. Combining this with the right amount of dog food given to them, it will keep your dogs from becoming hungry out of meal hours.

By then, however, guitarist Mark Morton had left to go to graduate school. When he finished, he returned to Richmond and discovered Burn the Priest were faster and heavier than the band he left two years earlier. Austin wrote liner notes for the major label reissue, which was remixed by Collin Richardson and remastered by Mark Wilder, neither of whom detracted from the savagery of the original release.

But by the time Lamb of God released the bone-crushing As the Palaces Burn in there was no looking back. Oh, and why did Burn the Priest change their name to Lamb of God?

Bassist John Campbell once explained to MetalShip that it wasn't because they were banned from playing certain venues, as was commonly thought, but because they were tired of people thinking they were a satanic metal band.

In an era of stagnant, contrived metal, Lamb of God is a harrowing rush of honesty, a declaration that no matter what anyone else is playing, Lamb of God will always follow their own hearts. We had never changed anything we do to appeal to anyone, appease anyone or seek any sort of approval from anyone other than ourselves. In , Lamb of God released their sixth studio album 'Wrath' which debuted at No. They spent the remainder of touring in support of the new album and expect to continue touring through most of In an interview with Spin Magazine, Chris Adler stated that the band currently has plans to begin work on their seventh album title unknown at the start of The album has been stated to be released either the end of or the beginning of and the band will not be doing any public performances until according to Morton's personal Twitter account.

Despite statements from band members that Lamb of God planned to enter the studio in to begin recording their eighth studio album, hoping to complete it by the end of the same year, Chris Adler said in an interview with The Virginian-Pilot that besides the large amount legal fees the band encountered from Randy Blythe's trial, the band's inactivity during the trial had eventually depleted the band's funds and thus were unable to fulfill those plans.

On January 26, , Randy Blythe posted a picture and a statement on his Instagram saying he would be taking a long break from Lamb of God. The band, after the then-current album cycle would be on hiatus, except for some summer festival appearances.

By September, however, Blythe revealed that he was planning to release a new Lamb of God record, which uses lyrics he had written while he was incarcerated along with his book, Dark Days: A Memoir in early A website, lambofgodvii.

The "VII" the roman numeral for the number seven refers to the album being the band's seventh, and does not take into account the first of their albums, released with a slightly different line-up as Burn the Priest. In June of the same year, the band released a video for the song "".

The title track is dedicated to a fan and friend of vocalist Randy Blythe, Wayne Ford, who died after a 5-year battle with leukaemia. In addition to the new release, several members of the band auctioned off their instruments, signed CDs, lyric books and gold records to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. On April 4, , Blythe said it was time for the band to "really go on hiatus" after their summer North American tour; this was in reference to the first hiatus being on the back of his release from prison and acquittal.

On August 10, guitarist Mark Morton confirmed that the band would be going on hiatus but stated that they would still be making music but did not hint at whether this was either for an upcoming release or indeed for Lamb of God at all.

It is the band's first album as Burn the Priest since their album. On October 23, , Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler was interviewed on the th Metal Injection Livecast and in the interview with Metal Injection he revealed that the band is aiming for a December release date for Lamb of God's tenth studio album.

He also revealed in the interview that he had a conversation with fellow heavy metal drummer Lars Ulrich of the band Metallica about what it is like to work with ex-Metallica guitarist and current Megadeth lead vocalist and guitarist Dave Mustaine prior to working with him on Megadeth's 15th album, Dystopia, which was released in In June , on the topic of Chris Adler returning to the band on a touring basis, Randy Blythe stated during an interview with WSOU that he had no comment and that "it's hard to see what's going to happen with Chris Adler.

They additionally stated that they had begun pre-production on their forthcoming 10th album. On February 5, , the band released "Checkmate" as the debut single from their self-titled album, Lamb of God, which marks the first song to feature new drummer Art Cruz. The album was initially planned to be released on May 8, but was postponed to June 19, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Lamb of God will spend most of touring in support of the album, including a co-headlining US tour with Megadeth, and a European trek with Kreator and Power Trip.

In a September interview with Australia's Subculture Entertainment, Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton was asked how he was spending his coronavirus downtime. He responded, "Writing and recording and creating new music is my favorite part out of all the things we get to do. There's a lot of elements, a lot of components about being in a band like Lamb of God.

Performing and touring is one of them. Writing and recording is another one of them. The writing and recording part is far and away my favorite part of what we get to do. Similar to the land dwelling Cynognathus, the Lystrosaurus would have not had the swimming capability to traverse any ocean. Modern day representation of the Glossopteris. Possibly the most important fossil evidence found is the plant, Glossopteris. Known as a woody, seed bearing tree, the Glossopteris is named after the Greek description for tongue due to its tongue shaped leaves and is the largest genus of the extinct descendant of seed ferns.

Reaching as tall as 30 meters, the Glossopteris emerged during the early Permian period million years ago and became the dominant land plant species until the end of the Permian. Now, the Glossopteris seed is known to be large and bulky and therefore could not have drifted or flown across the oceans to a separate continent.

Description showing the fossil locations of the Mesosaurus, Cynognathus, Lystrosaurus, and Glossopteris spread across different continents. If the continents of the Southern Hemisphere are put together, the distribution of these four fossil types form continuous patterns across continental boundaries.

Of course, possible explanations are brought to attention. One explanation is the species could have migrated via a land bridge or swam to the other continents. However, a land bridge is not applicable due to the differences in densities between the continents and oceans floor and violation of the isostasy concept. Alternating patterns of magnetic anomalies on the ocean floor indicated seafloor spreading , where new plate material is born.

Magnetic minerals aligned in ancient rocks on continents also showed that the continents have shifted relative to one another. A map of the continents inspired Wegener's quest to explain Earth's geologic history. Trained as a meteorologist, he was intrigued by the interlocking fit of Africa's and South America's shorelines. Wegener then assembled an impressive amount of evidence to show that Earth's continents were once connected in a single supercontinent. Wegener knew that fossil plants and animals such as mesosaurs , a freshwater reptile found only South America and Africa during the Permian period, could be found on many continents.

He also matched up rocks on either side of the Atlantic Ocean like puzzle pieces. In fact, plates moving together created the highest mountains in the world, the Himalayans, and the mountains are still growing due to the plates pushing together, even now, , according to National Geographic.

Despite his incredible evidence for continental drift, Wegener never lived to see his theory gain wider acceptance. He died in at age 50 just two days after his birthday while on a scientific expedition in Greenland, according to the University of Berkley. Tests were done, but with the most reliable instruments of the time no movement of the continents was detected.

The edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica still did not believe Wegener, but that year many geologists began siding with him, in view of new evidence. This new theory— plate tectonics —also explained that earthquakes and tsunamis occur when two plates rub against one another, and that when they collide head-on, large mountain ranges are formed. In addition, thanks to geolocation satellites, we are now able to detect that Europe and North America are moving apart, although at the same speed that a fingernail grows: two metres in a lifetime.

Today we have all learned at school—or even before, in cartoons—the theory of continental drift. But Wegener died in , long before his success was recognised.

During an expedition in Greenland, he left the camp for supplies and was found frozen months later. He was buried there and is still there, although he is now about two metres further away from his birthplace in Berlin. Click Enter. Login Profile.
